One of the points of my plan for the first quarter 2022 is done. On the 16th of February, 2022, I participated in the Certified LeSS Basics course in ScrumTrek. Alexey Voronin conducted the training online and it lasted all day.
I have work experience with this framework, but I wanted to structure my knowledge, understand and evaluate the applicability of LeSS in my current work environment.
Large-Scale Scrum isn’t new and improved Scrum. It’s about figuring out how to apply the principles, purpose, elements and elegance of Scrum in a large-scale context, as simply as possible.
During the training we discussed a lot of topics: why and when we should use LeSS, what impact it has on the organizational design (structures, policies, etc.), the dynamics of component teams vs. feature teams, all LeSS roles and their purposes , why there is one and only real PO and not so-called team POs and many others.
We also had some practical tasks for better understanding how this framework works. At the end of the training, I received the certificate confirming the completion of the training.
Now I will think about the possibility of using the framework in working with my teams. And what about you? Do you use this framework? Why? What does it give you? Share you experience with me, please.
