It’s been a year since I’ve been working at Alfa-Bank. I remember very well the day when I had to choose one of several job offers.
It was spring, beginning of April 2021. By that day, I had already been interviewing for a month, two or three interviews a week. It was a difficult but very interesting time.
And the time to choose one had come. The decision had to be made overnight. After much deliberation, weighing all the pros and cons, I decided to go to work at Alfa-Bank.
At the moment, I do not regret my choice: I have comfortable working conditions, a very friendly community of Scrum Masters, and there is an opportunity to develop professionally.
Now I am a Scrum master in 5 teams, I conduct Scrum trainings at Alfa Academy for all bank employees (I will soon make a separate post about this), I participate in Kanban trainings for teams, I actively participate in the preparation of the restructuring of the Scrum training.
I prepared a workshop on decomposition of user stories, which I have already conducted in 2 teams. And soon I will do it for our entire stream (more than 100 people). It is very important that everyone understands the meaning of decomposition, what benefits it will bring, and talk about decomposition methods, and to practice.
Also, now I with 2 more stream’s Scrum Masters prepare a new approach to planning for all stream teams, we will switch to SAFe.
And I also started preparing a workshop on the basics of facilitation. It will be prepared for the teams so that they learn to conduct meetings on their own and become autonomous.
Of course, there are some things that bother me and that need to be considered by me. But more on that – later.
