Today, 09.11.2022, I took part in the online webinar OKR Review: Gather Your First Goals for “Objective and Key Results” hosted by ScrumTrek. It was a two-hour seminar with an overview and Q&A on this topic. I would like to thank Sergey Rogachev, Konstantin Khokhrin and Ivan Seleverstov for organizing and holding this event and for detailed answers to the questions of the participants.
We discussed the evolution of goal forming: MBO, KPI, S.M.A.R.T., BSC, OKR. We saw the differences, scope and relationship between these tools – OKR and KPI, as well as OKR properties and examples. We also got acquainted with the organizational levels and rhythms of setting OKR.
There were many questions about the difficulty in forming and implementing OKRs in organizations and in addition to answering these questions, the trainers told us about the cases of using OKR in various sectors of business.
This seminar is an introductory part on the OKR topic, the next step in this direction could be the workshop where you can get feedback on the compiled OKRs and refine them if there are any comments – to gain experience in forming OKR in practice.
It’s really interesting, do you use OKR or KPI or what in your companies? Could you share your experience with me? I woud be happy to talk about it.
