Completed a Free Course from Scrum Alliance AI & Agility

Recently, I completed a free course from Scrum Alliance AI & Agility. This course is right for anyone who wants to master emerging AI technologies. You will learn how artificial intelligence can augment what you do, delivering what you need so you can focus on the most impactful work. If you want to be among the early adopters who drive the future of work by understanding and using these new tools, then this course is designed for you.

I read this description and decided to take this course and did not regret it. The course lasts about 2 hours and consists of three modules:

The Past – Agile’s Evolution & Groundwork for AI Integration

This module explores the history and development of Agile methodologies, tracing their origins and how they have evolved over time. It delves into the foundational principles that have made Agile a go-to framework for managing complex projects. Additionally, it examines the groundwork laid down for integrating Artificial Intelligence within Agile practices, highlighting the early attempts and theoretical bases for combining these two domains to enhance project management and execution.

The Present – AI & Current Agile Practices

In this section, the focus shifts to the current landscape of Agile methodologies and the integration of AI technologies. It discusses how AI tools and systems are being utilized in the context of Agile to improve efficiency, decision-making, and overall project outcomes. Practical examples of AI applications in Agile environments are provided to illustrate how artificial intelligence can automate routine tasks, provide predictive analytics, and foster a more adaptive and responsive project management approach.

The Future – Trends of AI in Agile

Looking ahead, this module presents the emerging trends and potential future developments at the intersection of AI and Agile methodologies. It speculates on how advancing AI technologies could further transform Agile practices, making them more intelligent and adaptive. Key areas of focus include the potential for AI to enhance real-time decision-making, personalized project management solutions, and the creation of more dynamic and flexible Agile frameworks that can better accommodate the fast-paced changes in today’s work environments.

My sincere gratitude to the author and mentor of the course, Snehal Talati, for its development.

I would like to share a funny detail I noticed:

in the initial videos Snehal is seated at a table decorated with a lamp, there are also other various items on the table, and in the room there is a window through which one can see cars passing by; it seems there’s a fireplace too, indicating a lived-in room. As time progresses in subsequent videos, the room’s space begins to “clear”: furniture gradually disappears, and by the last video, we are presented with a completely empty room without any furnishings, while Snehal comfortably sits on a chair. Whether this was intentional or coincidental, it would be interesting to find out.

What do you think?

This course made an indelible impression on me, and I confidently recommend it to everyone who is passionate about the history of artificial intelligence and seeks to understand how AI can be applied in the activities of a Scrum Master and Agile coach.

Upon completion of the training, the participants are awarded the following certificate:

How often do you use AI in your work? How do you use it? Can you describe pros and cons of it based on yourown experience?
