Last year I was very lucky: I was the trainer at the School of Scrum Masters in the bank. It was a unique experience.
Any bank employee who wanted to gain more knowledge about the framework, areas of responsibility of the Scrum Master and the work itself in this role could apply to this School.
The training was based on eduScrum framework and lasted about 3 months. At the end of the training, there was an exam, and then the graduates of the School could decide to move to a new role in the team and become a Scrum Master. Such applicants underwent an additional interview. As a result, for several graduations of the School, now we have 9 new Scrum Masters in the bank – they all are graduates of the School.
Together with another Scrum Master, I taught the students what a backlog is and how to manage it. We gave some materials on the theory, gave practical tasks and the students completed the project.
Unfortunately, the School is not functioning now, as a new project has started in our bank, which I will tell you about a little bit later. However, the founders of the School put forward the School of Scrum Masters project for the intra-bank pilot competition.
With all my heart I wish success to this wonderful project, let them win the competition. I’m happy that I was a part of it.
