My studies at Software QA Tester course by Practicum by Yandex ended and now I am a Software QA Tester. I learned a lot and met interesting people. The world of testing is so big and interesting so to know all its amazing secrets you need to dive deeper into it. Well it will be my challenge.
At the end of the studies as soon as I have successfully presented my final project, I got the certificate. I’d like to thank my mentor Ulyana Yeryksonava for her help and Egor Muratov, who checked the most important for me: my final project.
I’m sure you want to know what I’ve learned. Here are the main points:
– web application testing: visualization of requirements: mindmaps, block-schemes, cross-browser testing, determination of equivalence classes and boundary values, test-cases, check -lists and test results for testing layout, issuing bug reports
– mobile app testing: visualization of requirements: mindmaps, block-schemes, testing in Android Studio, testing on real devices, testing the backend API, issuing check lists, test results, issuing bug reports
– working with a database on a remote server: finding logs with errors and sorting them by files, sampling data using SQL queries with various operators.
– basic knowledge on test automation (JavaScript, Python)
All these points are enumerated below in the certificate.
Of course, it’s just the beginning, but the main thing is to move forward and not to stop. The whole world is open to us. In 2019 I have decided to study and to work in a new shere. And here I am: QA Engineer (tester) and a certified Scrum Master.
I hope that my experience will inspire you to do or to study something new and unknown. No need to be afraid, just do it, and remember – mistakes and failures only strengthen us.
