Workshop How To Work With Conflicts

Workshop How To Work With Conflicts

Once again I dived into the world of eduScrum. Do you remember what eduScrum is? eduScrum is a learning organization system in which the teacher delegates responsibility for the learning process to teams. But responsibility cannot simply be “given away”, it must be done in such a way that the students want and are able to take it upon themselves. To do this, the teacher needs to be not only an expert in his subject, but also a good organizer of teamwork; combine different roles and skills.

Not only children study at school on eduScrum, but also adults. For example, at the School of Scrum Masters in the bank where I work, I taught Scrum exactly according to this system. It is very efficient and encourages teamwork.

On March 10, I participated in an eduScrum workshop where we talked about how to help a team navigate conflicts and build strong team relationships around them.

We discussed what stages of team formation exist and when conflicts are most likely. After that, we examined in more detail the types of conflicts and how to behave in them to those who accompany the work of teams and how questions and a coaching approach help the parties to the conflict hear each other and agree.

I really liked the workshop because the participants did not just listen to the theory, but did practical exercises and trained themselves to compose coaching questions for the proposed conflict situations.

The workshop lasted 2 hours, but the time flew by very quickly.

I would like to thank Ekaterina Bredikhina and Anastasia Borisova who conducted this workshop. The workshop turned out great and now I look forward for the next workshop: how to facilitate conflict resolution meetings.
